As the GM of Denham Bramwell since Nov 2021, I have been privileged to lead one of Auckland’s premier mid-sized law firms. My tenure has been defined by authentic, visionary leadership, transforming the firm into a more dynamic and resilient organisation poised for long-term success in an ever-changing legal landscape. In Jan 2025, NZ Lawyer magazine recognised me as a Law Firm Leader of the Year. I stepped into my current role during a challenging time following the diagnosis and, a few months later, the death of one of the firm’s founding partners. By demonstrating resilience and empathy I guided the firm through this period of uncertainty. Working closely with the seven partners, I have driven strategic growth across key practice areas while fostering a workplace culture that champions collaboration, inclusivity, and professional development. My expertise spans: • Strategic Planning & Business Development: Aligning organisational goals with market opportunities to secure commercial success. • People & Culture Leadership: Building diverse, empowered teams through mentorship, inclusivity, and trust. • Finance & Operations Management: Ensuring financial resilience and operational excellence. • IT & Project Management: Leading digital transformation to modernise workflows and improve client outcomes. Notable Achievements: • Successfully nurtured high-performing teams across three Auckland offices aligned with the firm’s long-term vision. NZ Lawyer magazine named Denham Bramwell a Fast Firm in 2022 and 2024 and Doyles recognised our Leading Family Law Team in 2023 and 2024. • Implemented innovative strategies to ensure commercial growth and resilience. We have grown the firm by almost one-third in terms of headcount in less than three years. I embrace a wide professional network as an active member of the Auckland Association of Legal Administrators (AALA), ALPMA (Australian Legal Practice Managers Association and LawPlus. For several years I was the only NZ representative on the ALPMA Summit Committee. I am currently a joint Partnership Representative for the ALPMA NZ committee. Beyond the legal world, I am deeply passionate about governance and driving impactful change. I thrive on leading transformative initiatives, enabling organisations to adapt to market challenges while empowering their people to grow.
