About Devika Mallik

Website: www.devikamallik.com As a firm believer in the power of human-centric design I've long recognized that the users are the true catalyst for change and progress. I'm an inquisitive and empathetic individual shaped by a childhood filled with mystery novels that always left me pondering 'why they dunnit' rather than just 'whodunnit.' Over the last 3 years I have been into core UX gradually moving from being a part of smaller projects focused on delivery to largescale 1+ year projects that required in-depth user and ethnographic research rapid iterations and bridging of business and client needs. I have cultivated a strong focus on empathy along with aligning desirability with feasibility and worked with cross-functional teams such as developers sales marketing and C-level executives to execute the project vision. Additionally I possess a fascination with behavioral psychology and the psychology of gamification. At present I am actively immersing myself in these areas of study with the goal of (eventually) integrating their principles into my designs & process.
