About Devika Thachadi Soman

My personal definition of success is how I’m able to positively impact others, create meaningful connections, and keep learning. Causes I am passionate about: climate change, gender equality and mental health. I am a people-person, approachable and adaptable to new challenges. I take calculated risks and I am very resilient should that fail. I am optimistic and driven; with an international mindset. A couple of proud moments in my life: I am the first woman in my family to leave home to work and have a career. I left India in my late 30s to chart a new life in Germany and through the struggles and challenges I continue to be resilient. What makes me thrive: I like to surround myself with motivated and intelligent people as I consider myself a life long learner. I am capable of engaging with and inspiring those around me, as well. What gives me satisfaction: Getting things done. What I desire from a workplace: to be given responsibility and freedom but also, to make an impact in any small way I can. I speak 2 International languages: English(Native) and German(Intermediate), as well as 3 languages from the Indian sub-continent. I have lived in 2 of the world's most populous cities and travelled across the globe from Singapore to the US, from Kenya to Sweden. I practice Yoga and Meditation on a daily basis and in my free time, I am an Expressive Arts Therapist, helping people navigate different situations in their lives. My strength lies in my ability to be a strategic thinker, forge relationships with C-level executives, building global partnerships and win new businesses across geographies: Europe, US, South-East Asia, Middle East, India. My key skills include negotiating deals, managing teams, problem solving, concept selling, brand and communication audit & strategy, executing business plans & achieving results. I am also curious about new technology and I find a great sense of accomplishment in getting things done.
