About Devin Devine
I create spheres and vases, tentacles and stargates from pieces of stone. Such stacked stone sculptures came as a direct outgrowth from my stone masonry and dry stone walling work, which I have been doing since 1997, self employed since 2007. Public commissions include the Sphere at Brookside Gardens, Silver Spring Maryland, and a stone vase and benches at the Matilda Pfiefer Museum in Arkansas. I also write how-to articles on natural stone hardscaping and offer consultations via phone/email or skype, helping DIY homeowners, designers and contractors with their stone hardscape projects. I'm enthusiastic to create dry laid stone patios and dry stone walls as well as garden sculpture and unique hand made garden features of distinctive quality, combining a visionary aesthetic with a strong background in the trades. This work and I, me and my stones, have completed projects on both coasts and the mid west as well. And what's most exciting.is what's yet to come!
