Background

About Devin Flannery

As a Deputy Fire Chief at the South San Francisco Fire Department, I lead a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to protecting our community from various hazards. With over 22 years of experience in the fire service, I have developed a strong expertise in emergency response, hazardous materials management, and leadership. In addition to my role as a Deputy Fire Chief, I also serve as an Adjunct Professor at Sierra College, where I teach students about hazardous materials response and certification. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and skills with the next generation of firefighters and emergency responders. I am also a Senior Instructor at the Industrial Emergency Council, a nonprofit organization that provides training and resources for organizations to prepare for and respond to industrial accidents and natural disasters. My goal is to help others be ready to respond to emergencies throughout their community.
