About Devin Garland

Experienced aviation professional with roughly a decade of exposure in multiple facets of the industry. Aviation has always been a passion of mine which is why I chose to pursue a Bachelors degree in Aviation Management from Middle Georgia State University. I began as a student pilot and made the transition to management after discovering that was my true passion. My professional career began at Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson Airport as a ramp operator with Delta Airlines. I spent 6 years working ramp operations learning their baggage system, scheduling system, and load planning. I had the pleasure of splitting my time at Delta between two different stations, Atlanta and Las Vegas; I finished my airline career in Las Vegas. In 2018 I received an offer from the Federal Aviation Administration to participate in the air traffic control training program. I gained so much knowledge and airport experience from their training which helped me bridge the connection between ATC and operations. After attending the FAA’s grueling academy I was fortunate enough to land a position as an airport operations coordinator at Aspen’s Pitkin County Airport where I currently reside and work. My current responsibilities include routine inspections of the airfield and terminal facilities, providing customer service to our tenants and passengers, and acting as first response to any emergency situation at the airport.
