About Devin Grobbel

Devin Grobbel was born in Detroit Michigan, and graduated from Grosse Pointe South High school in 2008. From an early age of 15 he was motivated to work and became a score keeper for the neighborhood club, loved going to baseball games. He later began volunteering at Services for Older Citizens supporting in their office and helping with computer classes. Senior year he began a work co op with Subway Sandwiches. Often times subway was staffed by only 2 employees. He was a keyholder and always dependable. Working for Joe Kim a Korean Immigrant was insightful and always a pleasure. 5 years at your first job is no joke and teaches many life lessons. Devin spent time in the culinary industry after moving on from Subway, typically working in a scratch kitchen environment and eventually becoming involved with food trucks. He worked for Eurest helping to open Qzine corporate dining for quicken loans. After that he had an opportunity to work for a Boutique Hotel quickly emerging in a prominent Detroit suburb. After Covid hit that industry crashed temporarily so Devin went back to a mixture of management and culinary prowess working at an independent grocery store much like Whole Foods. Now with a 15 month old son Devin took a job as the Kitchen Manager at UofD Jesuit of Detroit. Daily he feeds 850+ students with pride.
