About Devin Hosea

Devin Hosea has been founding, operating and investing in technology ventures for more than 15 years. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of NeuroSTAT, a neurotoxicology company that infers which exogenous substances (drugs) are in the brain from a 6 second video taken by a smartphone and processed in the cloud. NeuroSTAT has applications beyond clinical toxicology (DOA tox) into neurology and psychiatry. Through 2007, Devin was Managing Director for Biotechnology Ventures at Ritchie Capital Management, a multibillion dollar fund. While at RCM, he also reorganized and ran American Biophysics Corporation (a portfolio company) and served as its President and CEO. Prior to joining Ritchie, Devin founded and ran Predictive Networks in 1998 and served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until 2002. Devin not only conceived of the core technology and business model for the company, but also raised more than $50 million in venture financing from Battery Ventures, Intel Capital, Nielsen, NTT (Japan), and others. Prior to forming Predictive Networks, Devin was a Vice President at General Electric Capital Corporation, where he made venture investments in technology startups. During his tenure at GE Capital, he also served as Chairman and CEO of Vanguard Automation, where he directed a dramatic operational turnaround from the brink of bankruptcy to a $67 million sale to Robotic Vision Systems (NASD: ROBV). For his work with Vanguard Automation, Devin was awarded “Deal of the Year 1997” by GE Capital. After graduating from Princeton University in 1991, Devin began his investing career as a buy-side analyst at Sanford Bernstein & Co.(now Alliance Bernstein). In 1994, he was awarded a National Science Foundation Fellowship in Artificial Intelligence, where his research focused on AI in medicine. Inventions: Devin is an inventor on 13 issued US patents.
