About Devin Koontz

13+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the busiest Emergency Department in the state and most of the West Coast. 10+ years of experience precepting new grads, new RN's, and experienced RN's. I also have expertise in trauma care in the ED and triage. I have won multiple awards of achievement for leading our department's Sepsis Care Team and have presented at our hospital's International Sepsis Day. I enjoy continuing my education and have attended multiple PNW Sepsis Conferences and Critical Care Symposiums. For fun, I attended the Diet and Optimum Health Conference via the Linus Pauling Institute at OSU. Outside of work, I love to explore the endless beauty of the PNW. I have lived in Washington, Alaska, and Oregon. My husband and I are avid cyclists and while we concentrate our rides on endurance/gravel types, we also love road and mountain biking. We are currently building an adventure bike for me so we can go bike-packing. When life is less busy, we plan to ride the Oregon Cascades Volcanic Arc 400. Last year, we camped for a week in the Olympic Rainforest, and I went on my first backpacking trip to Blue Glacier on the Hoh River Trail. I love to try new things and especially love a fun challenge.
