About Devin Lawson

I have been fortunate enough to see the healthcare industry through several unique lenses over the 11 years of my professional career. There are obvious differences between the marketing department of a large health system, business development at a growing healthcare valuation firm, and revenue cycle management of a $22b company. The ever-changing nature of the Healthcare industry is the tie that binds these experiences and continues to offer an ideal environment for personal & professional growth. My time at VMG Health allowed me to take the tools I developed within the undergraduate Finance department at the University of Notre Dame and put them to work. I spent the first 8.5 years of my career learning the "how" of health systems, hospitals, dialysis centers, and surgery centers via discounted cash flow valuations and detailed market analyses. Having direct access, both internally and externally, to some of the most respected thought leaders across the industry allowed me to fine-tune my personal management style while learning how to adapt to change within one of the most complex industries in the world. While revenue cycle management was a "new" sub-industry within the Healthcare spectrum for me, it has been the most rewarding stop to date. Ensemble Health Partners is a leading innovator in revenue cycle management, helping healthcare providers improve financial outcomes and patient experiences with an unrivaled depth of expertise and best-in-class technologies. Although the focus and scope of RCM work looks different than that of enterprise level business valuations, the pre-requisites for success between the two sub-industries remain the same – a strong operational knowledge of the Healthcare industry and its unique regulatory environment.
