About Devon Hague

I am a strategic & creative firestarter with 16 years of extensive experience leading social, video and digital teams to create bold, scroll-stopping work. I am known as an optimistic, empathetic and approachable leader who strives to bring out the best in my team and create a work environment in which everyone can be their true authentic self. Kindness is a non-negotiable. In my years at Target, I’ve spearheaded some of our most transformative projects within Promo Marketing. From leading the modernization of the print and digital weekly ad, to starting and evolving our team’s first multi-channel promotional campaign called Target Deals (inclusive of Video, Social, Audio and Digital channels). My teams have brought to life some of Target’s largest and most successful promotional events over the last decade including Target Deal Days, Target Fun Run, Clearance Dash, and Red Hot Buys. In 2017, I led the mass redesign and simplification of Target’s in-store promotional signage system. I am also credited as the design inventor of the patented “Rule of 12” responsive digital design system that would eventually help create the design structure of Target Finds. Recently, I’ve led the redesign work of our Target.com deals hub called Top Deals and our Low Price Digital Video campaign. I graduated in 2006 from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with honors and a BFA in Graphic Design, a focus in photography, and a minor in English Literature. When not designing, I enjoy spending time with with my incredibly talented wife, Maddy Hague, and my two sweet, smart, and sarcastic daughters, Aurora and Penny. I enjoy video games, reading, movies, television, napping, good food and peaceful walks. We are also proud parents of 4 felines (which I think (or hope) makes us one kitty short of being the crazy cat lady).
