About Devon Hubbard

I am currently the Executive Vice President at Exemplar, I believe in living a life of purpose and servant leadership. Whether it’s working in my role at Exemplar or in my community involvement, helping others is my passion. After graduating with a degree in elementary education from Eureka College, I was fortunate to take a gap year to travel. Upon returning home with new perspective and growth I was asked to fill in for a maternity leave for our family business. I then proceeded to work in multiple departments before landing on the business development team. I have worked in a variety of roles with Exemplar, and I have a knack for project management and people. Currently, I work in a pivotal role within Exemplar’s leadership team and wear many hats. I serves as the HR Solutions Manager, Strategic Relationship coordinator, and Events & Marketing Director. I love what I do because of the countless lives that I am able to affect by supporting financial advisors. I feel blessed to work in a job I love for a firm that not only supports community involvement but encourages it. I am a lifelong resident of Crystal Lake and I am extremely passionate about this community. I feels it is my responsibility to contribute to the success of future generations and do this by volunteering with many organizations throughout McHenry County. I currently serve on the Crystal Lake District 47 School Board and I have been involved with Leadership Greater McHenry County, the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce, CASA of McHenry County, Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County, The United Way and many others in the past 20 years. I was a recipient of the McHenry County “Best Under 40” award in 2015 and I was honored with the Presidential Award of Excellence by the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce in 2012 for my tireless involvement in the community I love. I am equally passionate about my family. As a Crystal Lake native and the oldest of six children, I have always felt a calling to stay in the community that was so good to me growing up. I married my sweetheart, Shaun, and we have a daughter Cecelia, son Jenner, and dog Maverick. There is never a dull moment in the busy life of our family of four, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. My children are my life, and I truly believe that parenting is the most important and wonderful job I have ever been gifted. One day I hope to be remembered as someone who put others first, was kind to strangers, generous to those in need, and most importantly, loving and supportive to the people she loves.
