About Devon Jackson

Devon runs Canada's largest literary awards portfolio at Writers' Trust of Canada, managing the awarding of over half a million dollars to Canadian and international authors every year. Annually, he moderates 14 juries and is the organizational point person for over a hundred national and international publishers. Devon is also an author's main contact when they are being celebrated or honoured with a Writers' Trust prize or award. Devon holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Drama from Queen's University and a Master of Science in Playwriting from the University of Edinburgh, both with distinction. He also holds post-graduate certification in Arts Administration and Cultural Management from Humber College. Devon is also a playwright, and has had over a dozen of his plays produced. He has a wide array of research experience including inquiries for Margaret Atwood, in New Zealand public policy, and at Toronto Arts Service Organizations. Devon is also the recipient of a 2011 W. Garfield Weston Loran Award, Canada's largest undergraduate scholarship based on the pillars of character, service, and leadership.
