About Devon M Price

As a Senior Research Scientist at the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, I lead and support research projects on HIV prevention in the Bureau of Hepatitis, HIV, and Sexually Transmitted Infections. I currently lead three annual Sexual Health Surveys specific to sub-populations disproportionally impacted by HIV as well as perform the duties of Principal Investigator on an NIH R21 grant related to PrEP access for cis gender women. I have a PhD and an MS in Social Psychology from the University of Connecticut, where I was a T32 AIDS Training Grant Fellow. I have over three years of postdoctoral research experience at the Hunter Alliance for Research and Translation as well as a Visiting Research Scholar position at the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction. I have a successful scientific publication record that demonstrates my community-based collaborative and applied research approach. I am passionate about advancing the field of health equity and addressing the social and behavioral factors affecting HIV testing and prevention among marginalized and vulnerable groups. My core competencies include quantitative and qualitative research, scientific writing, community engagement, and project management.
