About Devon Mahon

I help students test out careers, and I assist with translating their experiences and education into transferable skills. After 7 years in Academic Advisement witnessing students struggle with imposter syndrome and uncertainty in their major, I realized that completing your degree is an accomplishment that will open new doors, but learning to communicate the value of that education is an accomplishment that will knock down walls. At the start of 2023 I helped develop an internship program between the City of Chandler and Chandler-Gilbert Community College. I serve as a shared Internship Coordinator between the two entities providing recruitment, case management, and professional development such as resume writing, interview techniques, and reflection/communication. In September 2024 our 4th cohort of interns started their journey with the City! I have a passion for helping students further their career and educational journey - celebrating small wins, setting goals, and building their resume both academically and professionally. I received my Bachelor of Science in Theatre with a Performance emphasis and a minor in Electronic Media and Film from Northern Arizona University.
