About Devon Packett

During my 11 years in the Navy as a Nuclear Electronics Technician, I supervised a work center of ~30 sailors and ensured maintenance was planned and completed against the ship's schedule to ensure mission requirements could be met. In addition to this I was an examination program manager, which made me responsible for the security of over 100 exams and exam keys and the administration that goes with that security. Since separating from the Navy, I have had the opportunity to be a Production Supervisor at Matcor Metal Fabrication. I am now responsible for meeting the safety, quality and production goals of 40+ employees in a steel fabrication plant consisting of lasers, brake and punch presses and welding. Developing my eye for process improvement had been crucial to my success so far with this great company. While I am not actively job hunting, if the right opportunity arose I would be thrilled to make myself an asset to your team. I'm still a huge supporter of nuclear power and the other clean energy industries. I'm also interested in the career opportunities that are moving to 100% remote, as this has become much more prevalent since the COVID pandemic started.
