About Devon Purdie
Born in New York City, I have lived most of my 20s in Australia and now, I live in Finland. I focus my work and personal projects in the areas of community building, cultural arts and hospitality. The project that fills my schedule nowadays is the FINE Ecosystem. FINE stands for Fun IN English. We aim to make the student life more welcoming for everyone. We create sober friendly events and environments for students in Finland. Our various projects allow students to earn money, complete internships and gain experience. One example of this is our Student Stitches project, when students make a patch with us they earn up to 80% of the profits and is credited publicly. We know of the times students and artists are not properly compensated or recognized for their one and this just one of the creative ways we try to positively change the culture.
