About Devon Stillwell

I am an Education Developer (SoTL Coordinator) with Trent University’s Centre for Teaching and Learning. My work includes supporting our Teaching Fellows and other scholars working on projects in teaching and learning at the conceptual, implementation, and knowledge dissemination phases. I also work to bring distinguished scholars to campus to share their pedagogical research and innovative teaching approaches with Trent faculty. I am involved in creating and leading professional development opportunities for faculty to learn more about important topics in teaching and learning through the Scholars' Table program, amongst other initiatives. Prior to my role as SoTL Coordinator, I was a course instructor at Trent with experience teaching and researching in areas related to the history of medicine and public health, gender and women’s health history, and North American social history. I have worked in higher education for fifteen years, teaching many of my own courses and publishing my own research in academic journals. My new position as Education Developer allows me to combine my research and teaching experience in order to support faculty as they strive to make teaching more engaging and rewarding for their students.
