Devon Winston is a director, screenwriter, casting director, & producer dedicated to crafting human stories with rich, complex characters that wrestle with life’s greatest challenges—particularly within the dynamic of family. As a senior at Chapman University, he has written two feature screenplays, directed and produced multiple short films, and honed his expertise in television writing and production. In addition to his creative work, Devon collaborates with the City of Orange to broadcast city hall meetings and as an Admissions Assistant at Dodge College, where he helps prospective students navigate their journey into one of the nation’s top film schools. His commitment to storytelling extends beyond the classroom, blending technical mastery with a deep passion for visual storytelling. Devon’s drive to push the boundaries of filmmaking is matched by his enthusiasm for art history, which informs his storytelling with a sense of depth and historical resonance. When he’s not working on set, you can find him exploring museums, immersing himself in jazz and 90s hip-hop, or enjoying the California sunshine. He’s eager to bring his creativity and vision to the entertainment industry, one compelling story at a time.
