About Devon Yi Yu

I am the managing director at a leading façade/curtain wall company in Australia with a project portfolio of over $300 million across both residential and commercial sectors. I hold a Bachelor of Business with a double major in Accounting and Banking & Finance, and a Master of Business majoring in Risk Management from Monash University. The opportunity to shape Melbourne’s skyline was what first got me interested in construction. However, it is the multifaceted nature of the industry and ongoing opportunity to work on landmark projects that continues to excite me. In doing this, I get to work closely with our team of engineers, design managers, project and financial managers as well as key external stakeholders such as clients, subcontractors, suppliers and banks. The complexity involved in seeing through construction projects makes my job both challenging and rewarding. Key Achievements: • Career billings of greater than AUD $200 million (façade value) across multiple sectors including residential (medium & high-rise apartments) and commercial (offices & hotels). • Spearheaded the successful delivery of numerous landmark, award winning projects ranging in value from AUD $5 million - AUD $47 million in pure façade value. • Currently managing 4 projects & successfully delivered 9 projects in Melbourne. • Setting winning strategy and leading the team in tendering. Converted in the order of AUD$ 112 million.
