Supervise window services to the public, including sale of stamps and other accountable paper; providing special services such as Express Mail and box rental; providing information on postal services; and accepting mail at public windows. Establish work schedules and allocate work hours to meet service requirements; reschedules assignments based on changes in mail volume and human resource availability. Analyze delivery operations, mail flows, and retail operations within the work unit using observation, data analysis, and computer models; makes recommendations to improve operations. Conducts or oversees mail counts and inspections; analyzes factors such as office practices, safety conditions and safety practices. I communicate well with employees while expressing my expectations and seeing that they follow through. I handle customer complaints over the phone, in person on the window or online 360 cases. I perform daily payroll functions, such as time keeping and payroll close out.
