About Devosmita Bhattacharya

As a Sr. Programme Officer at Centre for Responsible Business (CRB), I work on advancing the private sector's contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in India. I conduct research, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and communication activities to support the development and implementation of CSR and sustainability initiatives by EU companies operating in India. I also co-authored a report that mapped and assessed the potential impact of these initiatives over a period of four years. I have a strong academic background in human rights and social work, with a Master of Science in Human Rights from University of Calcutta and an Executive Certification in Corporate Social Responsibility from National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata. I have also completed a Spanish Post Advanced Course from Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture. I have over five years of experience in the civic and social organization industry, as well as in government relations, where I have worked on various projects related to business and human rights, sustainable public procurement, and human rights protection. I have developed skills in goal setting, communication, presentations, management information systems, and Microsoft Office. I am passionate about creating positive social and environmental change through responsible and sustainable business practices. I am seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity that will allow me to apply my skills and knowledge, and to learn and grow as a professional.
