About Devri Syphus

I started at my very first job at the age of 16 and have been growing, learning, and taking care of myself since. I started in fast food and eventually mastered every position for which I was promoted to a crew manager. While I worked in fast food, I put myself through my first round of college and became a certified legal secretary. I worked for a couple of different law firms as well as second/odd jobs where I learned different/beneficial skills before I decided the legal profession was not the right fit for me. In my search for a better career, I obtained a job in the claims department at Farmers Insurance. I worked in this department for 8 years in various positions and helped to create and pilot a new team in charge of processing nation wide claims document requests via legal subpoenas. Due to the success of my performance and knowledge, I was made a full-time member of this new team. I eventually decided to take advantage of their tuition reimbursement program and obtain my Bachelor's degree so that I could move on to a claims adjuster position. I enrolled in the Criminal Justice/Forensics program but unfortunately, after only completing 2.5 years of the program, our operations center decided to close their local office. As I was not in a position at that time to transfer to Grand Rapids, MI, I finished my time and received my severance package which allowed me to take some time off from working to focus on completing my degree wherein I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2018. Once it was necessary to find another job, a friend of mine referred me to Survey Healthcare Globus for the qualitative project manager position. I worked as a qual PM until I was promoted to a Senior Project Manager however, I soon felt I would not be able to learn and grow per my preferences in this position, I moved on to another qual PM position with Focus Forward and was able to learn a different style of management wherein a had a great team of people to split duties with. After 6 months, I was presented with an opportunity to learn a new area of market research (quantitative) at Op4G where I worked for 1 year. Again, I was presented with another opportunity to learn the client side of MR so now I am at ThinkGen as a Field Manager. I enjoy the market research industry as my natural talents (i.e. organization, detail orientation, working fast and efficient) have enabled me to excel within a short amount of time and I feel that I can learn much more to help me excel even further within the industry.
