About Dewald Botha

As Principal Systems Engineer at Extreme Networks, I have the privilege of working with customers, partners, and distributors across EMEA to deliver solutions that simplify complexity and create measurable business outcomes. My focus is on empowering the channel - building trust, enabling growth, and helping partners deliver service-centric networking at scale. My career journey has spanned customer, reseller, distribution, and OEM roles - a progression that has given me a 360° perspective on the IT industry. I bring a consultative approach to solution selling, always balancing the technical with the human and business perspectives. At Extreme, I’ve led the expansion of our MSP program across EMEA from the sales engineering side, helping scale it to more than 30 partners in the region. I’ve had the privilege of guiding partners through service-centric ARR transformation while helping shape the story of Extreme Platform ONE and our Extreme Platform ONE for MSP workspace. My passion is helping partners and customers simplify complexity. In a world full of “AI washing,” I believe the real opportunity is in practical AI; outcome-focused solutions that drive automation, real-time troubleshooting, and secure operations. The future of networking is not about adding complexity - it’s about evolving to meet real needs with clarity and purpose. My role is to help ensure that partners, customers, and teams at Extreme are equipped to lead that evolution.
