About Dexter Paynter

I'm a Computer Science graduate from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (graduated December 2025) with a passion for building full-stack applications and cloud-native solutions. As a former Full-Stack Software Engineer Intern at Veracode, I modernized legacy Web Apps by converting them to Swift and Kotlin, implemented HTTPS support in Docker containers deployed through AWS ECS, and resolved critical issues across Vue.js frontend, Python backend, and AWS integrations.Previously, as a Backend Engineer Intern at Harbor One Bank, I brainstormed AI-driven solutions for users and employees, managed Kubernetes-based infrastructure, and presented findings to senior leadership including President Joe Casey. My flagship project, FeatureMe, is a full-stack music collaboration platform built with React.js, React Native (Expo), and Spring Boot (Java 21), featuring real-time WebSocket messaging, AWS S3 integration, Stripe payments, and an automated CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions that deploys Docker containers to AWS ECR and EC2.I'm passionate about taking ideas from concept to deployment, building seamless user experiences that work across web and mobile, designing scalable backend systems, and automating workflows that make development more efficient. Always open to connecting with fellow developers and exploring opportunities in full-stack development, cloud engineering, or AI/ML applications!
