About Deyontae Patterson

As a dedicated Computer Engineering student at McMaster University, I have a passion for embedded systems, digital design, and real-time control applications. My academic journey has been marked by high achievement as I mastered topics such as microprocessor-based designs, Hardware Descriptive Language, and C programming. In addition to my technical foundation, I've gained hands-on experience with real-time control systems, digital hardware, and advanced programming languages. My roles as a Community Advisor and tutor have also strengthened my ability to communicate complex concepts, support diverse learning styles, and foster inclusive environments. Beyond my academic and technical pursuits, I am a professional portrait and event photographer, capturing moments that tell compelling stories through the lens. This creative outlet complements my passion for storytelling, which extends to writing screenplays, teleplays, and stage plays. Through my work, I aim to blend technical precision with creative expression, crafting impactful narratives and visuals. With a solid grounding in both the theoretical and practical aspects of computer engineering, coupled with a flair for creative storytelling, I’m excited to contribute to cutting-edge projects and assist others in achieving their goals. My recent work includes contributions to FPGA design, embedded systems, GUI development for real-time applications, and creative projects in photography and writing. I look forward to leveraging these diverse skills to drive impactful results in my future professional roles.
