Hello! I am a galvanized Mechanical Engineer with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Texas. I earned my Master's in Mechanical & Energy Engineering from the University of North Texas, which built upon my foundational knowledge from a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology. Currently, I’m working as a Mechanical Engineer at Caterpillar in Peoria, where I design and develop mechanical components for heavy machinery using tools like AutoCAD, CATIA V5, and SolidWorks. In this role, I’ve applied GD & T principles extensively to ensure precision in manufacturing, and I’ve used Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs. I’ve also contributed to process improvements on the manufacturing floor, implementing Lean Manufacturing principles, which resulted in material waste reduction and lead time improvements. Managing cross-functional projects and liaising with various departments to ensure seamless product integration has also been a significant part of my role. Prior to Caterpillar, I worked at Larsen & Toubro (L&T), where I focused on designing mechanical components for heavy machinery and optimizing production processes. I implemented Six Sigma methodologies to improve product quality and conducted root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues. I also led CNC programming initiatives, which significantly reduced scrap rates and improved precision. Additionally, I gained hands-on experience in academia as a Mechanical Instructional Assistant at UNT, where I guided students through mechanical system design and simulations. This involved mentoring them on FEA, CFD, and ensuring their application of GD & T in design projects.
