About Diaconeasa Robert

My journey in software development started in 2009. Since then, I’ve worked with multiple programming languages, starting with ActionScript 2, migrating to ActionScript 3, switching to JavaScript with the old ES5 syntax, and going further with ES6 and beyond. During this period my career also intersects for a very short period with other programming languages like C#(.Net), PHP, or Phyton, but only for casual tasks. Over time, I’ve worn the hat of a developer from junior to senior. Since the beginning of 2018, I have been leading an R&D team, starting with a small team (made out of 4 JavaScript developers), a team that grew over time, and became a cross-functional team with more than 12 teammates (split into multiple Agile teams) with various expertise like JavaScript developers, C# developers, configurators, and I was managing also other team leads. In 2021 I decided to go back as a developer because I wanted to improve some technical skills and in 2022 I was promoted again as a lead. I am a curious person who wants to learn something new and expand my skills as a developer and as a manager every time and to improve processes and/or architecture/code every time I see fit, dreaming of the day when every project will be done via tools with a continuous deployment process. In addition, I've taken on the challenge of being a mentor/teacher, teaching non-technical people what programming means, and going further with JavaScript development. I also describe myself as being a fast learner, having strong communication, leading, and coaching skills, with a good understanding of project management, organisational communication, and product life cycle, with a Bachelor's degree focused on Communication and Public Relations from the National School of Politics and Administration.
