About Diamond Calicott

When my life is all over no matter what stage I am in, the one thing that would be said about me is that I stood to have a positive impact for others before anything else. The reality of life is that everyone has had to hear a story of success, rags to riches enable to push them to follow their own true path. My name is Diamond Calicott and I am dedicated to being the person to tell my story that ripples an effect of hundreds of thousands more successful youth and nonbelievers. I would personally describe my story as going from a nonbeliever to an manifestor of own destiny instead of a rags to riches. A Chicago girl grew up around environmental trauma but move on to be an all-around athlete of 7 different sports, one(basketball) of which got me a scholarship to a private college where I graduated with a B.A in Psychology with a minor in sports management. Having found a huge need for more awareness to mental health issues in minority communities and the sports industry when it comes to both blacks and athletes; but especially those who fit both identities, I founded my own brand Escape INTO. A mental health and wellness brand pushing for more awareness and to bring youth and other closer to their relationship with wellness and self-care with a website/blog, social media platform, and podcast. Overall, the qualities of leadership, conflict management, mindfulness mindset, mentorship, passion, workshop organization, and coaching make me who I am today.
