About Diana Rocha

I love teaching others how to develop new skills, increase the impact they make on others, and brainstorm new and better ways of learning and communicating information. I aim to develop training materials and curricula that are instructional as well as engaging and inspiring. I also enjoy creating safe spaces (including virtually) for new learners to share ideas and support each other. As a bilingual and bicultural Latina, it’s also important to me that Spanish-speaking staff have a place of their own. I have created and managed programs including a Latino and Hispanic “Coffee Break Group” for bilingual employees who work with Spanish-speaking families. Attendees share professional resources, support, and camaraderie. I also created an in-depth “Guide for Cultural Considerations” for non-Latinx coaches who work with Spanish-speaking families. Another one of my passions is the area of wellbeing and self-care. I founded an Employee Well-Being Committee to address staff stresses and concerns caused by COVID. Activities and resources focus on self-care strategies and serve as its coordinator. I also created a biweekly Well-Being Corner Bulletin and contribute articles and resources for each edition. I also remain committed to advocating for individuals with disabilities. As a former trainer and outreach coordinator for the Federation for Children with Special Needs, I shared resources and information to help parents advocate for the best services and education for their children. My top strengths include: Developing capacity building tools and “train the trainer curricula” for a variety of audiences Creating and managing culturally competent learning programs Adapting training components to best fit trainee’s individual learning style Expertise in self-care and wellbeing strategies and resources Let’s connect!
