I am happy you are here searching my profile! I am a practicing physician/surgeon. My journey into “all things not clinical” began out of my natural curiosity with problem-solving. Many barriers in day to day healthcare work involve simply breaking down the problem into its elements and players involved and driving interest to do what’s right, by the right people and in a timely way. I started in Quality and Safety, Utilization Review, numerous committees and PI projects. I completed progressive education resulting in my physician executive certification and then an MBA program. And while a full-time surgeon, I still get involved in committees, leadership positions and PI teams regularly. I chair Credentials Committee currently and remain as a member of MEC, Quality and other committees. I am ready to explore roles that take my experiences into daily leadership outside the clinical office and into facilitating change and corporate strategies. I have experience in developing service-lines, population health strategies, safety, quality, credentials and other. I have a no nonsense attitude, am very organized and gain enjoyment out of completing tasks and finding solutions. I have worked in private and employed settings. I have been married 30 years and we have raised 3 professional sons. I look forward to a life with stretching my intellectual capacity and challenging my abilities. I love the quote by Will Rogers- “Even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.” There are many facets in healthcare that could learn by never resting and constantly striving to improve.
