About Diane Loredo

My many years in health care have been fulfilling as I feel we have the ability to help patients even as a non-clinical employee. I have had many opportunities to talk to, assist, and comfort patients throughout every job title I have had here at Providence St. Mary Medical Center. From my years working as a birth registrar, I would visit patients during what is probably one of the happiest days of their lives following the birth of their child. Then to working on the medical surgical floors with the nursing staff, providing assistance to the doctors and nurses as they take care of their patients each day as a unit secretary/monitor technician. To the present job in the pathology department. I work directly with the pathologists, assisting them in their daily sign out of patient cases, from editing pathology reports, getting referrals approved so the pathologist can send out a case for a second opinion which helps the patient in regard to treatment for the patient. My position also requires me to deal with all outside facilities, laboratories, vendors, troubleshoot any and all problems for the pathologist. I help the pathologist in quality management and auditing of all cases for any discrepancies.
