About Diane Zimmanck

In October of 2007 I had my "light bulb moment", I could coast along until retirement came along, or I could change. I changed. I gave my notice and in 6 months I moved to China, the other side of the world, to a new way to approach life. After 30+ years in Retail Management and Sales I began teaching English at the Chinese University of Hong Kong School of Continuing and Professional Development. Currently I am working in the US as a language instructor at The Language Company. In addition to my work I am pursuing an MA TESOL which will be completed in the spring of 2016. I am committed to sharing language, cultural experiences, and improving English communication skills for learners of all ages. In all of my jobs I have been standing in front of people; trying to sell you something or teach you something; often both. As a result I am a confident communicator, a trusted team member, adaptable in changing work environments, and able to set and reach my goals. I believe that I can be an asset in any working situation. My commitment to developing students and creating positive relationships with coworkers and students is a strength. I look forward to discussing my qualifications and growing in any situation.
