About Dianna Weatherspoon Bey

The best decision I have ever made was to major in education because it has allowed me not only to pursue my passion but impact so many lives. Being able to positively influence lives and help build self-esteem and confidence in children and adult learners from all kinds of backgrounds is where I thrive. There is no other excitement like knowing that my scholars have mastered the skills I have taught them. In my current role at Gwinnett County Public Schools, I collaborate with my team to develop planning lessons for 5th graders, work on School Improvement and SEL issues, and serve on the CES Instructional Leadership Team and as the sponsor for the Junior Beta Club. With my strong background in Education, Assessment, Teaching, Instruction, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Planning, Organizing, Staff Development, Technology, Online Learning, ESOL Education, and Instructional Leadership, I am effective in solving a host of issues for staff, students, and community organizations through using a structured approach that focuses on the why, what, and how of a problem. With 20+ years of experience in public education, I have had the honor of continuously making an indelible impact on the lives of scholars through my roles as Classroom Educator, ESOL Specialist, Response to Intervention Chair, and School-Wide Plan Coordinator.
