About Dianna Yip

Dedicated, passionate, and persistent, I have spent the past 19 years supporting children with developmental disabilities and behaviour problems. I began my work with children with special needs in 2002, when I was an undergraduate student in the University of British Columbia (UBC). After receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2004, I followed my passion and continued to advance my skills in supporting the special needs population. In Canada, I received training on applied behaviour analysis (ABA) from Dr. Gerald Kysela, clinical child psychologist, and several Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs). I received my Masters of Education in 2011 and became a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) in 2012. Over the past decade, I have served hundreds of families with children with Autism and/ or behaviour issues at home, school, and different community settings through direct services, providing consultation and training. I have provided training for over a thousand behaviour interventionists/ therapists and supervised numerous practicum students and those who are pursuing their certification. I have also been presenting in conferences and lectures in Canada, Hong Kong, Mainland China and other parts of Asia, North America and Europe. In February 2012, I relocated to Hong Kong, where I was born and raised, to serve the community in Asia. I am dedicated to provide the best support for children with special needs in Hong Kong and Mainland China and to promote inclusion in our society.
