About Dicksha Sharma

I love working as an Early years educator. In primary school, I could teach mathematics well. I have worked with students of ages 3 to 8 yrs. Early Years to Grade 3. As an IB PYP Early years and Primary School teacher, my philosophy of teaching and learning revolves around creating a student-centred classroom that ignites the flame of curiosity in the minds of my students. I believe that learning should be fun, exciting, and interactive, and it should help students develop a passion for learning. To achieve this, I organize my classroom space in a way that enhances learning. I create a welcoming and comfortable environment that promotes a sense of community and belonging. I use flexible seating arrangements to encourage collaboration and creativity among students. I also use different areas in the classroom, such as reading corners, writing stations, and art centers, to provide students with opportunities to explore their interests and express their ideas in different ways. In addition to the physical space, I also use technology tools to enhance learning. I incorporate smart boards, blogs, presentations, and videos to engage my students and provide them with different modes of learning. Overall, my goal as a teacher is to help my students become active learners who are curious, creative, and independent thinkers. I believe that by creating a student-centred classroom and promoting a love for learning, I can help my students develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in life.
