About Dicky Alamsyah

As an accomplished professional in the geothermal industry, I have played a pivotal role at Rigsis, a division of MVÍR (Consortium Mannvit Engineering (now COWI Ísland)-Verkís Consulting Engineers-ÍSOR Iceland GeoSurvey-Rigsis Energy Indonesia), contributing to both domestic and international projects. With over 40 geothermal wells and 290 MWe of geothermal power generation plant projects under my belt, my expertise spans various aspects of the industry. In collaboration with MVÍR of Iceland and Indonesia, I have demonstrated my proficiency in project management, drilling and Engineering-Construction-Procurement (EPC) contracting, tender assistance and negotiation, conventional drilling, slimhole technology, well workovers, Feasibility Study (FS), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), Detail Engineering Design (DED), construction and commissioning supervisory, technical due diligence, direct use feasibility, and project financing feasibility. Noteworthy achievements include driving down drilling costs to $2.4 million (2021) for a m deep geothermal well in North Sumatra and negotiating an $18 million reduction in the EPC bid price (2022) for a plant construction project in East Java. I take pride in my role in winning a high-profile project management consulting service for drilling and surface facilities in Central Java (2021), contributing to its successful delivery. In addition to my professional endeavours, I have actively engaged with the Jakarta Drilling Society (JDS) since 2019, where I have led the education programme from conception to evaluation and closeout. I am committed to knowledge sharing and have presented my work at conferences, government forums, university lectures, and community organisations.
