About Didy Veldman

A creative and well-connected individual who has been involved since 1986 in the professional dance world. With an outstanding record of devising choreographic works for numerous high calibre international dance companies as well as the role of Artistic Director of Humanoove, my own project-based dance company in London. Through gaining support from Arts Council of England and several trusts and donors, we managed to tour nationally and internationally. I am a confident manager and problem solver, a Dutch national and UK citizen, working extensively around the world including USA, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Korea, China, Russia and throughout Europe. Creating over 50 new works for 30 international companies, creating full evening story-telling works with symphony orchestra and smaller works as part of a triple bill for example 'Sense of Time' which was created for Birmingham Royal Ballet together with Composer Gabriel Prokofiev. Specialties: Producing, project management, fundraising, creating abstract and story telling choreographic work for national and international company's. Teaching contemporary classes and choreographic workshops. Currently I am Contemporary Programme Manager at the Royal Ballet School.
