Passionate about designing and spearheading programs that brings long-lasting solutions to world’s toughest challenges. Led the resource mobilization efforts of Diakonia by leading the identification, design, formulation and negotiations of new projects and programs and draft global concept notes, proposals, capacity statements and project briefs. Currently supporting Global Health Partnerships (formerly THET) in designing long-lasting programs in health systems strengthening and anti-microbial stewardship In Malawi. Designed and supported Oxfam's agenda on Partnership and Local Humanitarian Leadership in the Ukraine humanitarian response including enabling local actors in Ukraine, Poland, Romania, and Moldova to lead the designing and implementation of life-saving programs for affected populations, managing grant portfolio of over £20 million spread among 35 local and national actors implementing protection, livelihoods, nutrition, cash, WASH, Public Health Promotion interventions. Developed models and approaches being applied by Oxfam Regional Leadership Teams (Gender Justice, Humanitarian, Just Economies) in enhancing partnerships resulting to making Oxfam Southern Africa; a partner led organization. Managed a grant portfolio of $1.3 million (working with 28 local organizations in Malawi) on all grant management activities from initiation to close out. Capacitated Local Governments to be very vibrant and responsive towards nutrition issues, which contributed to declining stunting levels for Zomba District from 46% to 36% as per the Malawi Demographic and Health Survey (2016 report). I have 7+ years’ experience in establishing and managing long-lasting relationships with donors, governments, non-state- actors, think tanks, academia, networks, coalitions, and the private sector which was critical in ensuring effective planning and coordination of development and humanitarian interventions in Africa and Europe. I’ve experience in working with bilateral & multilateral donors; EU, The World Bank, USAID, FCDO, CIDA, DEC, SHO, Foundations, and The Fleming Fund. 3+ years in the humanitarian sector promoting equitable partnerships, local leadership, capacity strengthening and sharing, mutual accountability and thought leadership. I aspire to contribute to increasing self-empowerment, co-created solutions, and realization of potential in affected populations, organisations, and society at large.
