About Diego Castrillon
My research laboratory studies women's cancers with an emphasis on endometrial cancer. We focus on the genetic and genomic basis of cancer, and how DNA errors promote the formation of cancer. Our ultimate goal is to apply the insights from our research towards the development of new therapies, predictive biomarkers, and diagnostic methods for these extremely common yet understudied cancers and their early precursors. I also serve as a pathologist in the Obstetric and Gynecologic Pathology Division at UT Southwestern.
