About Diego Collantes Loo

I am an awarded marketing and advertising consultant with 15 years of experience building strong and well-positioned brands in industries like insurance, automotive, real estate, banking, and entertainment, among others. Over the course of my career, I have learned that having a clear understanding of the business you are in and the needs and desires of your customers, as well as developing an inspiring and unique brand purpose, are absolute game changers. It might sound obvious but the truth is that losing track of them is quite easy. I'm passionate about leading multidisciplinary teams to analyze the market in order to detect unseen opportunities, design insightful strategies, and build up disruptive concepts and actions. I hold a Technical Degree in Advertising, a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Commercial Management, a Post-Degree Diploma in Consumer Psychology, and most recently, a Post-Degree Diploma in Project Management at The University of Winnipeg: Professional, Applied and Continuing Education (PACE), a Management Certificate from Chartered Managers Canada (CIM) and an Indigenous Insights Certificate. Additionally, I hold two Effie Awards -2013-2019- which acknowledge creativity and effectiveness in marketing actions and three ANDA Awards -2011-2016-2019- a reward for creativity in communications. Regarding my personal interests, I love sports, I had the chance to practice many different disciplines during my youth. The one I remember the most was when I used to be the stroke rower in an 8-man racing boat for the Regatas Club. During those days I learned so much about camaraderie, perseverance, and especially, about teamwork and how crucial it is in achieving the "swing on the water". Let's connect.
