About Diego Gadelha

As Director of the Unifacisa Ecosystem, I seek to impact society through the development of health and education as a tool for social transformation. I graduated in medicine from the Federal University of Paraíba with a specialization in ophthalmology, a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery, as well as a master's and doctorate from the Federal University of Pernambuco, and a post-doctorate in surgery and ophthalmology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. I have the honor of being vice-president of the health area at the National Basketball League. Entrepreneurship and innovation are the challenges that drive me. With that in mind, I did a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Leadership at Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. One day, during an exercise at the entrepreneurship school, I was asked to summarize my personal purpose in a single sentence. I wrote:"To heal, serve and impact the world." It's an honor to be able to participate and be an instrument of healing when possible, always relieving suffering through medicine, and serving to positively impact the world through the Unifacisa Group and the Pedro Américo Foundation. I consider myself a long life learner and I live in search of knowledge, after all, the best leaders are true learners.
