About Diego Guebel

I’ve built my career on dissolving the gap between visionary strategy and technical execution. That disconnect is the most common point of failure in major transformations; I orchestrate the platforms and lead the teams that bridge it. In my role as Director of Product Engineering & Platforms at Accenture, I partner with executives to move beyond slide decks and deliver tangible, technology-powered results. My philosophy is simple: own the outcome. I believe in delivering the working solution, not just the roadmap. For me, that is the essence of product engineering. This mindset comes from a journey that started in human-centred design and software engineering and evolved into enterprise portfolio management. It’s made me fluent in the languages of business, technology, and creative execution, and it’s why I focus on architecting the entire "operating system" for success, ensuring nothing gets lost in translation between the C-suite and the front line. I put this into practice at Atlassian, where I founded the People.ai team. I led a portfolio that unlocked tens of thousands of hours in productivity and doubled self-service resolution rates through AI and automation. This approach isn't new for me; in a previous role at Accenture as a Product Engineering Lead, my team's work for Atlassian directly inspired the creation of a native capability in Confluence.
