About Diego Jaime

Extensive lab experience in the fields of molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry biochemistry. My Focus has been on the muscle-specific kinase (MuSK) Ig3 domain and it's function in muscle using in vivo and in vitro cell culture models as well as cellular assays. A secondary focus has been on MuSK and BMP receptor interactions and mapping the domain responsible for their interaction using biochemical approaches. I'm experienced in mouse handling and survival surgical procedures in addition to cell culture experience, various microscopy techniques (widefield and confocal microscopy), various histological techniques, and RNA-seq bioinformatics. I have knowledge and expertise related to cloning (Gibson and traditional), recombinant protein production, purification, and characterization. I am experienced in primer design, PCR, RT-qPCR, Western blotting, ELISAs. Currently seeking to apply my scientific skills and knowledge to help advance projects, and increase my Knowledge base.
