About Diego Lima Ribeiro

I am an internal medicine physician and medical educator with a focus on medical ethics, palliative care, identity formation, and transformative learning. I recently defended my PhD at Groningen University, where my research explored the impact of moral dilemmas on medical students' professional identity formation, highlighting how emotional reactions to challenging situations can catalyze transformative learning I have over a decade of experience providing clinical care and educating medical students and residents at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). My work combines clinical practice with a passion for teaching and research, aiming to create supportive learning environments where challenging ethical scenarios are transformed into opportunities for professional growth. Now based in Poughkeepsie, NY, I am eager to connect with fellow professionals, engage in collaborative research, and contribute to educational and clinical initiatives. I am particularly interested in exploring new projects related to medical education, ethics, and internal medicine.
