Background

About Diego O.

I am a Telecommunications Engineer from Vigo, Spain.I have specialized in web apps development and deployment to cloud services (AWS, Heroku) and in UI/UX and prototyping of web and mobile apps.My professional experience has been closely bound to social apps initially, later on with web and mobile apps development, design and deployment; in the last years of my career I have been leading the work of developers, testers and UX/UI designers. In July 2013 I founded "chattyhive", a social network and instant messaging app that allows users to chat anonymously about the things they love. I worked in this project actively in all sort of areas for around 4 years with the help of a team of developers. At that time there was nothing like it, years later the incredibly popular Discord offers many of the same ideas.Even though our startup didn't succeed at the end, it was fun and I feel like I learned more in that initiative than I could in years of work on any IT company. In 2016 I started working for ScissorBoy LLC, an USA software development company specialized in education software for Beauty brands. With time I ended up coordinating all the team work and the client interaction.Currently, as of 2021, I am a senior advisor for ScissorBoy LLC and I am fully involved in Ocean Builders, a Panama based real state company with the incredibly ambitious goal of building homes in the ocean that are at the same time reasonably affordable, environmentally friendly and incredibly well equipped with the latest on home automation.
