About Diego Rovetta

Diego Rovetta is a senior geoscientist and engineer with over two decades of experience in geophysics. He pioneered advancements in multi-geophysics joint inversion for near-surface characterization, co-authoring more than 100 scientific publications and several patents. After 13 years at Aramco, where he served as a research geophysicist and led the GRC-Delft Multiphysics and HPC for Reservoir Technologies focus areas, he recently joined Fugro Innovation as Engineering Manager of GroundIQ®. Earlier, he worked at the WesternGeco Center of Excellence for Electromagnetics and contributed to academic and industrial research at Politecnico di Milano, collaborating with eni, Saipem, Schlumberger, Solgeo, and Aresys. Diego holds an MSc in Telecommunications Engineering (2002) and a PhD in Information Engineering (2006). Passionate about community engagement, he founded and chaired the EAGE Netherlands local chapter (2019–2022), joined the organization committees of EAGE Geohazards (2022) and Geo-communication (2024) communities, and serves on the EAGE board as CMO (since 2024). Finally, he holds an acting diploma (2004) and brings a strong passion for the arts, especially stage performance, complementing his natural communication skills. More publications in & hl=it & oi=ao
