About Diego Serrano

Diego currently works at Invictus Accounting Group LLP as Manager. Diego is involved in Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) projects which includes reviews of internal control structures to identify risks, providing advice to management in developing control solutions, and monitoring the implementation of management’s control measures and control activities. Additionally, he contributes to advisory projects, including the development of project plans, execution of projects, and participating in communications with client CEOs, CFOs, controllers, and auditors. Diego exercises strong project management skills to ensure all projects are completed on target. Prior to his current work, Diego worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers Ecuador (PwC EC). He had 3 years of experience working as an Assurance Manager and an overall experience within PwC EC of 8 years. His main functions were related to coordinate, organize and oversee the audit work in the planning, execution, and completion stages of more than 30 clients that were part of his portfolio which included Companies from the mining, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, national banks, retail and construction industries. Additionally, Diego led teams up to 15 people, and also as one of his principal milestones achieved within PwC EC is to have been part of the “Implementation Team” to introduce new technological tools developed by PwC for the execution of the audit work (Confirmation System & Halo for Journals). Another important milestone to mention during his career at PwC EC is that Diego had the opportunity to guide 6 different employees during their career within PwC as a Coach; experience that he considers very positive, and from which he learned the importance of being a good leader as an example to other people every time. In Halliburton - Ecuador (HB), Diego was part of the Accounting team; He managed the Fixed Assets area of the Company to give support to 15 different lines of services from Ecuador, Peru and Colombia. As the Fixed Assets Coordinator, Diego had to oversee the imports, exports, purchases, sales of fixed assets, and coordinate other work related with Houston and Dubai. As other additional activities, it is worth mentioning that he lived in the United States for a couple of months in 2011 participating in a work and travel summer experience; situation which he considers positive for many personal aspects in matters of learning from other cultures, improving his language skills, and learning to be self-sufficient.
