About Diego Tasca

I am a telecommunication engineer with almost twenty years of professional experience, as software developer and Unix/Linux system administrator first and as system and pre-sales engineer in the broadcast industry later. Working with the most important national public and private players in this field, I have had the opportunity to face and solve all sorts of unique and exciting challenges, from high complexity systems design to presentations, integrations, up to impossible troubleshooting. I have started my career as a techie, but I‘ve been able to grow and broaden my technical and relational skills, applying them in all phases of projects, from specs and costs definition to design, implementation and post-delivery support, also including demonstrations, training and technical documentation writing. Following a long career in the customer support role, after proving to be an excellent mediator between clients and suppliers at all levels (from first-level operators up to decision makers like department leaders, IT managers, CTOs.), I've become one of the reference customer service escalation contacts in our company, in case clients need our team to focus on specific urgent topics or issues. I also have consolidated experience as internal technical consultant for the sales team and currently I'm also working on pre-sales activities like RFx analysis, projects design, BOM definition, products and projects presentation, demos, etc. Since the beginning of the 2020's pandemic, I have mostly been working remotely, improving my ability of self-managing time and commitments. I also got more and more familiar with remote meeting and collaboration tools like Teams, Zoom, Meet, Slack. I am an analytical problem solver, data driven troubleshooting expert, fast learner and efficient teacher, with a strong ability in organizing my own work and the team’s one in order to achieve the projects’ goals. I can work well both autonomously and in team, according to which one of the two approaches can take to the best overall result.
