About Diego Utreras

Master in Public Affairs of Sciences Po Paris and Electrical Engineer of the University of Chile, specialized in Energy Projects and Power Systems, with 12 years of work experience in both the private and public sector. In the public sector, I worked in the Project Management Unit of the Ministry of Energy, which has the role of promoting investment in Energy Projects to reduce energy prices and have a more competitive market. This is done by working with different government agencies and the private sector to improve to the permit approval process, reducing obstacles and market barriers. In the private sector, I worked for leading Energy companies in Chile in the construction of large Transmission Projects. Throughout this period, I performed in a great diversity of roles, from managing transmission projects from its development up to the commissioning stage, developing electrical studies, reviewing engineering designs, and coordinating teams. Bilingual Spanish-English, with an international background, I possess good communication skills, great teamwork and leadership capacity. I am a sociable person who can easily adapt to different cultural environments.
